Apply with a short text (500-2400 characters) describing your project or practice, and how it relates to ORBI. You can apply either as a group or as an individual. Send your application by the 10th November. We will get back to you the 17th of November. Send your application to residency@orbivraa.dk
This first edition of the residency is free of charge. The residents can stay for up to 14 days in the period between 6th of april until the 3rd of may. When applying please indicate which part of the period you wish to stay. The group facilitating ORBI residency will distribute the applicants in the best possible way.

Residents must cover their own travel expenses and are responsible for arranging their own transport to Orbi. You can take the train to Vamdrup station or arrive by car. From Vamdrup station, it’s possible to book a “flex ride” via Sydtrafik.

If you don’t have a car, we recommend ordering grocery delivery before your arrival and during your stay.
ABOUT THE RESIDENCY
ORBI residency opens up the association’s farmhouse and facilities as a residency for architects, artists, graphic designers, agronomists, farmers and other related professions. With this first edition we wish to support projects that examine the ways in which we build, cultivate, work and live in the constantly changing rural areas of Denmark.
FACILITETER
ORBI is located on a former agricultural property in Vrå in the southern Jutland. Since 2020, the property has been used to host a number of schools and workshops. The property consists of a farmhouse (former residence) and two large barns. Over the past few years, one of the barns has been equipped with facilities supporting social gatherings and practical projects. The other barn is used for storage. The barns are unheated.
Residents will be sleeping in one of the farm’s four guestrooms of varying size. Groups applying for the residents must indicate how many rooms, they are applying for. Residents bring their own sleeping equipment. Our facilities offer a kitchen, a dining room and one shared bathroom with a shower. We are located close to a river and forest as well.
